Interim Report

The Interim Report of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission was released on 17 August 2009. It made 51 recommendations and was the culmination of six months’ work, including four weeks of community consultations; examination of more than 1,260 submissions and eight weeks of public hearings involving a total of 87 witnesses.

Interim Report No 2

The 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission released its second Interim Report, Interim Report 2 – Priorities for Building in Bushfire Prone Areas, on 24 November 2009. The report made seven recommendations which deal with the need for a national standard for bushfire bunkers and urgent changes to building standards for building in bushfire areas. This is a 17 page document that can be easily downloaded from this website.
